Protector 11mm Chain Now Available: We are pleased to announce our replacement for the popular Protector 10mm chain. The Protector 11mm chain is made from high grade boron steel that offers improved resistance to bolt-cropping and sawing attacks and the long link design means that it is lighter than the previous 10mm - Very good news for cyclists! BikeSafe 2009: The national BikeSafe Show was on 20th and 21st June at the Metropolitan Police Hendon Training Centre in London, with free police-assessed rides, many manufacturers' displays and demo bikes available, many accessories and fun attractions, including us! We were invited to attend again and were happy to show samples of our products and give advice. BikeSafe is an initiative run by UK police forces to promote better biking and improve the safety of motorcyclists on the roads. Lots more info on the BikeSafe web site.

Maxi Shackle Allthread Studding Fitting Now Available: The Maxi Shackle is now available with an allthread fitting kit that allows it to be used in a range of awkward situations such as on metal gate posts, and readily adapted to security on other metal structures etc. More details here.

Torc Ground Anchor back in stock! We were caught out by the demand for our new design Series II Torc ground anchor and had a brief period when they were out of stock. The new batch is now complete and available to order. We have incorporated a further improvement to the design to make it even harder for a thief to attack - the shackle is now a complete 'D' so it would have to be cut twice in order to defeat it - that would be two cuts through 20mm diameter hardened steel! The appearance from above is unchanged. Pricing is not being changed, yet.

Protector 13mm chain temporarily out of stock: We're sorry that difficulties in sourcing raw chain of satisfactory quality have caused a delay on manufacture of new 13mm and 10mm Protector chains. We have replacement stock underway and we still have some stock of 10mm chain remaining. We could have avoided a gap in availability by switching to inferior material but we are not willing to do that. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Beef-Up Kit Now Available! We've been busy with new products and the shed door security Beef-Up Kit is probably the simplest thing we've ever done, but it provides a solution to a very common problem: Shed doors being secured with hinges etc that are themselves only fitted with wood screws! Wood screws can be pulled out very easily, so a thief has an easy way into your shed! The Beef-Up Kit provides a selection of fittings and instructions to help you improve your shed security at minimal cost.

Maxi Shackle Now Available! Another new product for 2009, the Maxi Shackle is a new type of security anchor intended for awkward situations, such as blockwork walls, gate posts and several other places where an anchor is needed but a concrete floor anchor is not an option. Lock your bicycle to the blockwork wall in your garage, or prevent your horse or horse tack being stolen! The Torc Ground Anchor

We at Pragmasis developed the Torc ground anchor because we didn't want our motorcycles to be stolen and we thought the other products on the market were too difficult to install, gave poor security, or both! We now specialise in manufacturing and supplying high quality British made security products to protect valuable items.

This photo shows the new Torc Ground Anchor Series II with a Protector 16mm uncroppable chain. The Series II is tougher, easier to install, and cheaper than the highly praised Series I design.

Introducing the Anti-Pinch Pin

We've created another new product to help secure motorcycles, quads, etc - The Anti-Pinch Pin! This helps you to lock bikes that don't have any holes large enough for you to route a decent-sized chain. Instead of putting the chain through the wheel, which is the usual alternative, the Anti-Pinch Pin gives you the option to lock the heart of the bike, and in some cases it is much easier to use than a long chain - read more about the Anti-Pinch Pin. 

• It can be easily fitted with DIY tools, yet uses four high quality fixings rather than relying on a single bolt. This makes it extremely secure without you having to concrete it in and invariably without you having to hire an industrial drill to install it.
• It is very tough as a result of using a full 20mm diameter hardened steel shackle and a heavy duty steel base. The shackle is a complete 'D', meaning that a thief would have to cut it twice to defeat it!
• It has two-stage corrosion protection with a zinc pretreatment and tough powder coating finish.
• It is unique in that it can be fitted to brick walls, concrete floors or even inside a van or metal out-building such as a bike safe.
• It folds flat - this keeps it out of your way, but makes it harder to attack for the thief. You can even drive your car over it without damaging the car or the ground anchor.
• It is large enough to be used with heavy-duty chains. Many chains currently on the market can be easily bolt-cropped in a few seconds. The Torc ground anchor is large enough to cope with high quality chains that cannot be bolt-cropped, including 16mm and 19mm.
